AOM Gallery: Jean M. Judd

A new direction starting in 2011 began with this series of textile artworks when I began to paint with dye using foam brushes. These abstract, whole cloth pieces are then densely hand stitched to add visual as well as physical texture using a swirled or wave-like design. Each artwork is designed to be hung in either a vertical or horizontal orientation which gives it great versatility in display options as well as changes the dynamic of the piece each time it is rotated.
